Dr. Newton was born and raised in Buffalo, Wyoming and outside of schooling, has spent a majority of his time in this great state. He attended MSU Billings on a soccer scholarship where he received his bachelor of science degree in Biology. He earned his Veterinary degree at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he was inducted into the Phi Zeta honor society and received the top honor in Surgery as a senior student. He moved onto a small animal internship in surgery and medicine at a private referral and emergency hospital in Arizona. Following his internship he worked as an emergency and triage veterinarian in Castle Rock, Colorado before moving back to Wyoming where he joined the Mountain View team in 2009. His professional interests include ultrasonography, orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, cardiology and internal medicine.
He lives in Sheridan with his wonderful and very patient wife, four children, four chickens and his energetic Labrador Retriever, Ed.
Outside of work he can be found watching and coaching his kids sporting and musical activities as well as running, biking, riding, climbing and fishing in the Bighorns.
